Rule 88
Benefits for amputation or injury
(1) Even if an employee is injured in the course of legislative-parliamentary or government work and is not required to retire from service, if the injury hinders his ability to improve, considering the circumstances of the injury, the employee may be given an increase in the last scale of salary or ten One-time financial assistance can be given up to one thousand rupees.
(2) An employee shall be entitled to additional sick leave with full pay without deduction from any of his accrued leave for the entire period required to treat the injury as per sub-rule (1). While approving such additional sick leave, the recommendation of the committee in sub-rule (1) of rule 91 shall be considered as the basis.
(3) Such an employee will get 100% of the treatment expenses incurred while undergoing treatment as per sub-rule (2). Due to the receipt of such treatment expenses, it shall not be considered that any obstacle has been created for such an employee to receive the treatment expenses due as per sub-rule (1) of rule 85 when he becomes ill later.
(4) If eye, arm or leg transplantation is required during treatment in accordance with sub-rule (2) of rule 85 and sub-rule (3) of this rule, such employee shall receive all the expenses incurred in such organ transplantation.
(5) In case of death of an employee while undergoing treatment in accordance with sub-rule (2), the amount of treatment expenses incurred during such treatment shall be given to the family members of such employee as per sub-rule (2) of rule 92.
(6) In order to receive the treatment expenses according to this rule, the claim must be made within three months of admission to the hospital.
(7) Employees who are injured due to their own negligence will not be given the facility as per this rule.
